Competency and Determination

The project consisted of a new food service building, administration building, parking lot, and bus drop-off.  The school was in session during construction, requiring close coordination with the owner.

The food service building also served as a hurricane shelter requiring the installation of Life Safety Emergency Transfer Switches and Diesel Powered Emergency Generator. The Administration Building was awarded a LEED Silver accreditation — one of the first LEED buildings constructed for the School Board of Alachua County.

The project was completed within the 12-month timeline and was under the owner’s original budget.
